Jack is an Author now. To date he has five books published, has written several short stories and four screenplays. Four of his works have received awards from the Public Safety Writers Association.
He wasn't always although he did some writing in school, some in the Army and more in the Air Force. Most of that, Reports of Investigations of criminal and counter-espionage cases he ran as a Special Agent of the Air Force Office of Special Investigations. Thus the name of this site, RETAFSA (Retired Air Force Special Agent). After retiring from the USAF he worked as an Investigator for the Clark County District Attorney's Office, mostly on undercover police stings. Then he worked for eleven years for the Nevada State Gaming Control Board, a law enforcement agency. There he became an expert in casino cheating and cheating detection and testified as such in state and federal courts. He did some security consulting for four years until the attack on the World Trade Center in New York in 2001. At that time he started writing historical fiction novels about some of his experiences.
